Hello Again!

I am so, so sorry for my long absence.  I had a lot of things going on in my life.  One of which is I am now no longer in the Air Force.  I am a veteran!  I have moved back home to the Midwest and am so incredibly happy to be here!  I love Missouri!  Especially now that it is fall.  The leaves are starting to change, the heat and humidity are gone, Samhain is right around the corner.  But first we have Mabon!  Yay!  I don't know how I am going to celebrate.  I'm currently living with my parents as I cannot afford a place of my own.  I am incredibly grateful that they let me move back in with them.  Hey, that's how I'll celebrate.  I'll be grateful.  All day.  Mabon is actually our (our being witches, pagans, Wiccans, what have you) Thanksgiving.  A day to be grateful for all that you have.  And I have a lot to be thankful for.  One of which: I am alive.  Being alive is always something to be grateful for.  Take a moment and thank your Patriarch and Matriarch that you are alive.  Another thing that I am grateful for is the use of my limbs.  I have rheumatoid arthritis so being thankful for this is very close to home.  I have a minor form so I still have all my original bones.  My hands and feet are not distorted.  I can still walk, I don't need a wheelchair or cane (at least not any more!).  I am so, so grateful for this.  And thirdly, I am grateful to my parents for giving me a place to live.

What are you grateful for?  How are you going to celebrate this thankful holiday?

Now I would like to bring up some fabulous blogs/podcasts that I have found.  The first one is Witchesbrewhaha.  This is a wonderful, intelligent and funny podcast.  Velma Nightshade hosts it and I absolutely love her voice and incite.  You can find her on Itunes and on Podbean.com.  Just look for Witchesbrewhaha, all one word.  The second one is Inciting A Riot.  I found this one through Witchesbrewhaha.  Inciting A Riot is funny (riotously so if you will), inciteful and stirs the wonderful thought processes.  It is hosted by Fire Lyte and he is so totally amazing.  You can find him at www.incitingariot.com, on Podbean.com and Itunes.  Just look for Inciting A Riot.  Now go and check both of them out!

Have a blessed Mabon!
